Adam and Vince’s first official band started when they were in middle school as Live Bait in 1994. They joined friends Jonathan Sides (guitar) and Renaldo Goodwin (drums) to play some of their favorite covers. They loved both the new songs of Grunge and the classics of Rock and RnB. Their first gigs were at Rascals Teen Center and a program at school called Way Before Lunch Bunch (in which they performed at like 7:30 in the morning in the cafeteria or auditorium). There are videos of these performances, but we have yet to find them.
In high school, they started writing their own songs. They also started to get bored with modern rock, and started to play more funk. Trombonists Seth Vatt and Brad Kerns joined us around 1997, and Andrew Bryant joined on percussion soon after that (who would become our drummer in Limit Nine). Davy DeArmond joined the group for a couple of shows on Trumpet, including a Fun Fest Show in 1998.
“333” is an original composition collectively written by the band, recorded on tape with a boom box in the Gray’s garage.
