Written, recorded mixed and mastered over Thanksgiving weekend at Tammany Chapel, R1NG$ was a personal challenge of Ernie to produce an EP of new music from beginning to end rapidly, avoiding the tendency to second guess the details. The mental process started a few days before writing and recording commenced, with a rough outline of ideas on a memo pad and a few phone recordings. The entire process from composition to mastering took around 12-16 hours. Given the entire runtime is around 16 minutes with transitions, it is shared as a single file.
This next collection was written, performed & produced in September of 2021. R1NG$ is an ongoing music project that combines elements of modern rock and pop in rapid writing and recording sessions.
It has been estimated that nearly 70% of individuals will experience signs and symptoms of imposter phenomenon at least once in their life. Imposter has two spellings. One spelling option must be an impost*r. “I’m poster” has an (un)witty double meaning in the social media era, so went with the “e” option. It matters.
