Vince recently worked with long time friend and bandmate J.R. Wicker to finish many of the tracks that they had been working on, especially during the Digital Phantoms sessions. In 2022, J.R. went into various studios to complete these old ideas and even more of his backlog. One of the tracks, “Darkness” was a demo J.R. cut on acoustic guitar and sent to Vince, who then took it in a different direction, adding a more post-rock vibe, bridge, and coda. J.R. finished the tracking and re-amping at High/Low Recording Studio in Memphis, TN with the help of Toby Vest and Luke White.
